We want to make it as easy as possible for you to have practice available in your daily life. Often, it’s the small things that stop us from coming to practice. If the answers below do not ease your concerns, please reach out, we are here to help.
How do I view the schedule of classes and sign up?
What is Zoom?
Currently, Sarah is offering weekly yoga and meditation classes, as well as a monthly Sangha Salon and other special programs. All of our offerings can be found here, which is also where you can sign up for group classes, as well as individual Yoga Therapy, Mentorship sessions, and special programming such as our Book Group or Deeper Study. You can also always check our calendar to learn about these special programs. These classes/sessions will all be held on Zoom.
Zoom is a video conferencing platform used for virtual meetings, webinars, and yoga lessons. The Zoom website is: https://zoom.us/

How will I meet with Sarah?
How do I process payments for online sessions?
Sarah has a “Zoom room” with a special link for a private video conversation. When you sign up for your session or group class, your Zoom link will be included in your confirmation email (except for meditation, that class we will email you the link the morning of class).
If you’ve never used Zoom, we’ll happily schedule a quick test call. Just email Sarah and let her know when a good time might be.
Most of our offerings allow payment right through this website when you sign up. In order to keep Yoga Therapy sessions donation-based, payment for these sessions are accepted through Venmo, Zelle, and by check. Venmo requires you to create a profile and connect your bank account, while Zelle processes directly from your bank. You can find Sarah on Venmo here and for Zelle please use Sarah’s email sarah.capua@gmail.com. To pay by check email Sarah.
Should I use my laptop, phone or tablet?
How do I set up for group classes?
Asana practice often doesn’t work for my body, and I’d like to attend group class. What can I do?
What if I would like to attend classes, but I can’t afford the cost?
Online yoga works best when you’re using a laptop with a camera at the top. This allows the camera to be adjusted so Sarah can see everything you’re doing. A phone is the best second choice.
Set up your laptop far enough away so Sarah can see you and the side view of your full mat. The whole horizontal mat should be in the camera frame. Do your best and don’t worry. You and Sarah will make little adjustments as needed at the top of your session. It is most helpful to treat these sessions as sacred time. So, turn off your phone, reduce any distractions you can, give yourself what you need to drop into your practice.
For group asana classes, we suggest having a mat, blanket, and sitting cushion in your practice space. If you are working with any limitations, having a chair handy can be useful. For yoga therapy sessions, Sarah will let you know if you need a specific set up. You do not need to have your camera on if you prefer to not be seen, but as Sarah teaches from observing her students, we encourage you to have your camera on if it is comfortable for you.
For meditation, it is so important that you feel grounded, comfortable, and balanced in your seat. For some of us, this is sitting on a chair with our feet on the floor. For some of us, this is kneeling on a meditation bench. For some of us, this is sitting on a cushion with our hips elevated slightly above our knees. It is most helpful to treat these sessions as sacred time. So, turn off your phone, reduce any distractions you can, give yourself what you need to drop into your practice.
Everyone coming to practice does so with their whole, unique self, and it is absolutely essential that practice be made comfortable for you. The first thing to do if you have individual concerns is to talk individually with Sarah. There are two ways to do this: you can sign up for Office Hours, which are no-cost 15 minute sessions available each week to address questions and concerns for practitioners, or, if those times don’t work for you, sign up for a no-cost 15 minute yoga therapy consult, and let Sarah know why you wish to meet. This will give us time to find solutions for you so that group practice can be more comfortable and accessible.
We do not want payment to be an obstacle to any student who earnestly wishes to practice, and we feel strongly that making practice available to all betters the whole community. For group classes, you can use promo code WELCOME for half priced classes. If this is still not accessible for you, please get in touch with Sarah. Our special programs like Deeper Yoga Study and our Book Group will have their own scholarship options available.
